Staffed by veterans of all service branches, the Military Heritage Museum first opened its doors on Pearl Harbor Day, 2001. Unlike the World War II Museum in New Orleans, the MHM covers numerous eras of the military, campaigns and theaters all over the globe. And hands-on docents from each theater are on hand to guide you through the experience from a day-in-the-life perspective.
There’s even a state-of-the-art Flight Ops Simulator Room to experience the thrill of flight in the warbird of your choice. Explore the Virtual Reality Experience and the Smokeless Laser Gun Range, plus two floors of exhibits.
The museum is in Fisherman’s Village, Punta Gorda, giving you a unique dining and shopping experience following your museum tour. Admission discounts for Veterans and Active Duty personnel.
